When a real estate brokerage giant adds a new affiliate to their roster, you can be sure it’s good news for the real estate market in the area. Such was the case when Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, majority owned by Warren Buffet, announced the purchase of Prudential Fox and Roach last August. Natalie Kostelni reports in the Philadelphia Business Journal that Prudential Fox and Roach is now known by its new name: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach. She further writes about the announcement of the purchase that happened last August:

In August, HomeServices of America, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, bought Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors. It also purchased its subsidiary, the Trident Group.

Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors is the area’s largest residential real estate company and rumors had been swirling about Warren Buffet buying the company. Following the announcement, there was a company-wide event at the convention center, where Larry Flick, chief executive officer of Prudential Fox & Roach made the announcement.

Prudential Fox & Roach has built a solid reputation in Philadelphia, thanks to its long history in the region that goes all the way back to 1886. Philadelphia itself is a city rich in history, and national landmarks such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the National Construction Center serve as reminders of the city’s contribution to the growth and evolution of the United States throughout the centuries.

Today, Philadelphia is known as a center for education and research, and its proximity to the country’s top business regions like New York City, Washington DC, and Atlantic City makes it an ideal location to set up residence. It is not surprising that Philadelphia condos for sale are considered hot properties that are well worth any buyer’s investment.

When looking for ideal Philadelphia condos for sale, a buyer should consider a property’s location, and nothing can beat Center City for that. The area is home to fabulous restaurants, museums, and art and cultural centers. As the central business district of Philadelphia, it is a bustling cosmopolitan surrounded by enterprise and employment opportunities.

To find the right condo in a market as dynamic as this, one would need to rely on powerhouse real estate brokers like Joanne Davidow, who herself has long been associated with real estate giants in the area like Prudential Fox & Roach, which is now part of the prestigious Berkshire Hathaway group.
